Art Festival of Resistance comes to end

The closing ceremony for the International Art Festival of Resistance has been held in Tehran.

The fifth edition of the event wrapped up on Wednesday night in the presence of Iranian cultural figures.

The International Art Festival of Resistance hosts and awards works in 10 different categories including paintings, posters, sculptures, cartoons and caricatures that focus on the resistance movement.

The festival contains the artworks of contemporary artists on resistance.

The main goal of the event is to disseminate the culture of resistance and values of Islamic Revolution and Holly Defense and focus on culture of persistence in visual arts by:

- Creating, presenting and displaying the last visual artworks and achievements of contemporary artists of Iran and the world on Resistance.

- Evaluating, criticizing and analyzing the different aspects in Art of Resistance.

- Focusing on culture of resistance and persistence in contemporary awakening arts.

- Contriving for cultural interactions among creative artists on culture and art of resistance in Iran and other countries particularly those from Islamic world.

- Contriving for establishment of an international center on Art of Resistance.

The event came to an end on February 13, 2019.
